So let's take the seriousness level down about 80 or so notches, yeah? It's the Friday of a holiday weekend and that sounds like reason enough to have some fun!
Sooooo around here the forecasted temperature starts with a 9, and at 9 months pregnant that is not a winning combination. I can sum up my thoughts about that quite simply for you. That's it Nick, don't ever say I needed you to read my mind!
I had what I thought was this really fun idea for the blog when I first got pregnant. I was going to do a weekly update a la "Kate or Kim". To break it down- was I keeping it together or was it a shit show kind of week. Someone should do that. If only Chrissy Teigen started her name with a K, I could have added her into the mix too. Do you follow her on Snapchat? Her food life is a dream. I'm not talking about the fast food that got attention criticized through her pregnancy but her day to day actual cooking and restaurant adventures are what my dreams are made of.
So I'm just going to say it, I kind of have Bieber fever. When this song came out I really just immediately loved it and accepted this fact. Then we found out we were having a boy and it became my cry song. What the heck? There is usually at least 1 song on the radio at any given time that brings a tear or two to my eye. It doesn't take much, pregnancy aside. But I realized that lil baby voice of Biebs singin "mama" shot right to the heart. Yep, so I cry. Then I found this shirt but I haven't bought it. Mostly because Baby B already has farrrrrr too many clothes but maybe even more so that I can't justify $22 on a shirt that I would probably be too embarrassed to take him out in anyways. Oh Justin.
Soooo Father's day is around the corner and it's the day I've tried to convince LJB to make his appearance. Because really how could you top that Father's Day gift?! But because I am so stinkin excited for Nick's first FD I already have his gifts ready to go. I can't tell you about the others but there's one that I had to give to him the second it was in my hands. It's from the Saratoga Bow Co and it's called a memory bear. Nick is super sentimental and it causes him to walk the line of a bit of a hoarder. Sorry Dar, honesty is kind of my thing on the ol blog! So anyways Nicks Grandpa was an extremely special person in his life, and I was lucky enough to experience quite a few years of him in my life as well. That's where the J in LJB comes from actually! So Nick had this shirt of his that he had gifted him at some point that said "This Grandpa is the best" on it. Understandably it was tough to part with. Since I support pretty much any local business I can, I had already "liked" the Saratoga Bow Co on fbook and when I saw the memory bear post I finally knew what to do with the shirt! It came out so perfect, the entire bear is the material of the shirt so it's just so soft and cuddly. I happen to think it makes a phenomenal gift, so you should check them out!
Now speaking of gifts, it's hard to compete with WINE! Has wine been on your mind a bit this week because of some holiday called National Wine Day? I'm pretty positive this is the 2nd time this "holiday" has come around during my pregnancy. Just sayin. But anyways, WINE SALE almost speaks for itself except for in this case you do need to know the scoop. One Hope is this freaking awesome company that sells great wine (and champagne), but each bottle is linked to a different charity. They are closing in on $2 million in funds raised and that is just fan-freaking-tastic if you ask me. So yeah, they are having a sale this weekend if you needed another reason to give them a shot, there you have it! Wine for a cause, on sale, with free shipping. Life is good my friends! And do you see those glitter bottles?! Stop it! If you click that little blue link up there one of my most favorite people in the world, Kendra will help you out!
